ContactSwipe helps you tidy your phone's contact list. It is built local-first, by design.
What we collect
Nothing. ContactSwipe has no internet permission — the Android operating system physically prevents the app from sending any data anywhere. There is no account, no cloud sync, no analytics, no advertising SDK, and no crash reporting.
Contacts access
The app reads your device contacts to show them to you for review, and modifies your contact list only when you explicitly archive or restore a contact. Contact data never leaves your device.
Local archive
When you archive a contact, a complete copy is stored in an encrypted database on your device only, for up to 30 days, so you can restore it. After 30 days — or when you choose "Delete forever" — it is permanently deleted. Uninstalling the app deletes the archive with it.
Synced accounts
If a contact is synced with an account such as Google, archiving it also removes it from that account, exactly as deleting it in your Contacts app would. Your account provider may keep its own trash or recovery — Google Contacts keeps deleted contacts for 30 days at contacts.google.com/trash.
Third parties
No data is shared with, sold to, or processed by any third party. The app makes no network connections of any kind.
Optional tip link
The app contains an optional link to a Ko-fi page where you can leave a tip if you'd like to. Tapping it opens your web browser and leaves ContactSwipe — the app itself still makes no network connection, and sends no information about you or your contacts. Anything that happens after that is between you, your browser, and Ko-fi, under Ko-fi's own privacy policy. Tipping is entirely optional and unlocks nothing in the app.
Children
ContactSwipe does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this same address before an app update takes effect.
